Systems Engineer NetSocket
Reporting: This position reports to the Manager of Field Operations.
Compensation: Attractive total compensation package including a competitive base salary, equity position, and excellent benefits plan.
Responsibilities: This position supports the Sales Organization in the pre- and post-sales processes including RFx responses, solution architecture design, lab trials, field trials, and commercial deployments. Specific responsibilities include:
Act as prime on all customer lab and field trials including: trial plan development, product installation and turn-up, issue tracking, successful completion of the trial
Lead commercial deployments including installation, acceptance testing, customer training, and sign off
Support Sales as required with product demonstrations, technical deep-dive sessions, RFx responses, etc.
Understand competitors and alternative solutions
Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience running customer trials and commissioning Unified Communication solutions in Fortune 200 and Service Provider networks:
Successful track record in customer-facing project implementation roles for VoIP, telepresence, & unified communication systems
Detailed knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, SCCP, Lync, etc.) and routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
Hands-on experience with all ecosystem components including: routers, switches, call managers, voice gateways, session border controllers, etc.
Personal Profile: Requires strong inter-personal, oral, and written communications skills. Solid customer-oriented perspective and attitude. Able to support up to 75% travel. Undergraduate CS or engineering degree.
