The Position
We are in search of a Systems Engineer. The ideal applicant will need to have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and will want to be part of a fun and energetic team that is changing the way healthcare works through analytics. This role requires someone who is constantly asking ?why?, so that they can implement solutions to problems that have not yet been solved. Your primary objective will be making sure the environment in which all systems run, operate smoothly. This will include but not limited to the following: debugging some code/scripts/software, creating scripts, ensuring VMs are healthy, working with interfaces to ensure data delivery and processing, working with development to check and deploy projects, keeping up to date with the latest projects, and making sure tools and services work in harmony in all environments . The Ideal Candidate will have a background in Software engineering, and strong ability to think outside the box.

Competencies & Qualifications
Expert and quick troubleshooting process / skills
Basic MySQL knowledge, Jboss, and concepts of web applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Performance troubleshooting, identifying bottle-necks, issues with system resources, identifying the problem and developing a solution
Assist with changing and building environments & documentation.
Work in a team to ensure good customer experience
Provide support to other teams within the organization
Ensure customer uptime through precise monitoring implementations and incorporation of best practices.
Experience with Linux, LAMP, Networks
Experience with Open source packages / tools
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, interfacing servers, Analytic tools, and Monitoring tools
Develop automation tools surrounding monitoring, performance and capacity planning.
Participate in a 24-7 on-call rotation and night deployments, as needed
Ability to quickly respond to issues that may affect customer experience
Ability to motivate themselves and work well in a team to do what is right by the customer
Ability to follow processes, and provide good feed back on ways to make improvements
Ability to troubleshoot and performance tune Linux environments
Ability to gather and analyze data in an fast paced environment and present the data
Ability to quickly learn custom logic, designs, architecture, and implementations
Ability to not only work well within a team, but work well with surrounding teams
Additional Qualifications (Not Required, Highly Desired)
Experience with Linux, Jboss, MySQL, Mirth
Experience with Java, Javascript, JVM, heap-space
Experience with analyzing logs, stack traces, error-messages, and system resources
Passion for creating high performing solutions and solving difficult problems
College Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other coursework requiring programming
