As a Systems Engineer, you will work with our Infrastructure team to define and implement best practices in working with Amazon Web Services. You will be responsible for helping agile development teams learn to use Amazon?s cloud, and working with your immediate team to support Linux, Windows, VMware, storage, and other infrastructure technologies.
Day-to-day you will:
Work with the Infrastructure agile team in daily scrums
Architect and implement improvements to our AWS/EC2 environments
Work to ensure the implementation of best practices in regard to AWS/EC2
Leverage your AWS experience to help manage costs and security in the public cloud
Assist development teams in their adoption of the public cloud
Participate in our push toward Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Learn from a great team and help mentor others
Skills and Qualifications
Curiosity and a positive attitude
A track record of getting stuff done and thoroughly enjoying teamwork
3+ years working with systems in AWS, including EC2, EBS, ELB?s, VPC?s, Red Shift, etc.
3+ years working with VMware vSphere
Strong adherence to and solicitation of support for best practices
Automating server deployments and lifecycle management
Working within an agile team is a plus
