We track over 40 billion user sessions each month, while serving more than 70,000 mobile app developers and over 190,000 mobile applications across the iOS, Android, HTML5, Blackberry, and Windows Phone 7 platforms. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Manager, Systems Engineering to help build out our operations team in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure and maintain systems to ensure delivery of high volume, 24/7 web/software services
Manage the procurement, installation, and configuration of Linux servers and supporting software
Analyze performance data to optimize the usage of server systems.
Ensure stability of the production environment.
Troubleshoot issues and participate in 24x7 on-call support
Help build out the Operations team consistent with the growth of the company.
Oversee, manage, and mentor Operations team members.
Requirements:
At least five years experience administering highly available Linux, MySQL, or other open-source production systems.
At least three years with the senior responsibility for overseeing such systems.
Experience choosing, designing, and deploying data center solutions.
Strong capacity planning, hardware selection, and scripting skills
Related college degree or comparable experience.
Excellent technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Hadoop or other large scale distributed systems a plus.
