Systems Integration and Support Engineer Clearleap

The Role: The systems integration and support engineer will assist with the integration and management activities of video systems, hardware, and software. The position will also handle customer support of various technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding networking and Linux system concepts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Customer facing email/phone support dealing with various levels of technical complexity
Installing, configuring, and maintaining internal development and test systems
Provide technical assistance and remote troubleshooting support as part of an on-call rotation
Give feedback on outstanding issues to engineering and product teams
Actively participate in a program of continuous improvement of operational documentation
Proactive operational monitoring and first level support of Linux, Apache and Tomcat systems
Daily review of system logs to ensure system and application security and continuity
Experience / Skills Required:
Outstanding account management, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, personal accountability, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong ability to multi-task multiple competing priorities
Strong customer-focus attitude
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration skills with understanding of basic network administration
Working knowledge in Internet technologies such as XML, web servers, and other Internet/network-related protocols
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Ability to digest technical information and present in a non-technical manner
Eagerness to solve problems and learn new technologies
Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Bash, Java, Groovy, Python, or C
Strong Operating Systems knowledge (UNIX i.e. Linux, OSX, and/or Solaris)
Additional Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Gentoo
Knowledge of networking technologies, e.g. routing, cidr, vlans, acls
Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, OpenVZ or Virtualbox)
Database experience preferred (postgreSQL), but not required
