Description
The Systems Support Engineer is a key member of Cvent's Technology team, which designs, develops and operates large-scale, Internet-based applications. The responsibilities of this position are varied and include the following: Provide support, troubleshooting, and product knowledge to Cvent's Client Services team, which involves debugging software issues, querying databases, and coordinating with technology teams on issue resolution. Assist with partner and integration support by monitoring error logs, fixing data issues, and confer with other teams and clients on implementations. Maintain, design, and develop backend systems for our internal and external software offerings as well as assist in resolving performance issues. This person excels at multitasking, working with multiple teams to resolve issues and ensure that our product offerings are user-friendly and bug-free. A strong knowledge of database management systems, object oriented design, and software development are essential.
Position Duties:
- Provide top-tier software support for Cvent's product offerings to our customer service team and clients
- Assist operations and development teams with debugging software issues
- Query databases to generate and analyze data for reporting and troubleshooting
- Ensure the successful operation of our partner and client integrations and consult on implementations
- Work with multiple teams to find, analyze, and resolve client issues
- Troubleshoot and maintain frontend and backend systems
- Monitor, document and report system and performance issues
- Facilitate communication between technology teams and other departments on issue status and resolution
- Supply in-depth technical and business product knowledge to multiple teams
- The successful candidate will have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent required
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of relational databases and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience developing with SQL,HTML,XML, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript and similar technologies
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to convey technical information to a general audience
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
- Zealous attention to detail
- Familiarity with software deployment, website analytics, web service APIs and version control systems is a plus
