The duties of the Technical Support Analyst include but are not limited to:
Answer, evaluate, and prioritize new and escalated telephone, web, and e-mail requests for assistance from customers related to products developed by the company
Provide customers with regular updates on open issues and set appropriate expectations
Collaborate with account managers and solutions engineers to ensure a coordinated approach to resolving customer issues
Carefully document activities and customer interactions to ensure accurate call tracking
Document solutions and publish to the external knowledge base
Troubleshooting server/client, or network-related problems
Analyzing and recommending solutions to problems
Loading and configuration of software and patches
Perform on call support for 24x7 and international production environments
Diagnose and solve system, server, workstation and network problems quickly
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer services and must be able to collaborate with various technical groups to provide project analysis and support. .
Required skills include:
0-2 years experience in UNIX/LINUX or Windows system administration
Ability to work as a part of a team is essential
The candidate must be very detail and accuracy oriented
Good customer service, written and oral presentation skills
Experienced in routing, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, firewalls, routers and hardware/software configuration
Knowledge of UNIX shell, SQL, Perl, HTML, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS
Strongly desired:
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
Microsoft Certification
Linux/Unix/SQL related scripting tools/languages
Cisco Security and Switch experience
VPNs, RAS and Radius experience
