Take On Manager onefinestay

The Role
onefinestay is looking to hire an entrepreneurial manager to lead the take-on function in New York City. The take-on function is responsible for creating the listing on our website for every new home, as well as collecting all of the information needed to operate the home when the homeowner is away. To accomplish this, you will manage and grow a team of full-time take on executives along with a panel of freelance photographers, stylists and copywriters.
Each new home is a project to manage in its own right, and success in this role means you need to be efficient, detail-oriented, a great communicator, and have the highest standard for quality. The role also encapsulates a relationship management element with new hosts, as they are literally handing over the keys to their home to a stranger, often for the first time ever, so the right candidate will inspire confidence and trust (and be able to train and recruit junior take-on team members to do the same).
This individual will be working closely with the New York City operations director and a regional take on coordinator in the U.S.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the NYC operations director and with other functions including home services, guest services, host relations, and reservations.
Ensure new hosts have the comfort and confidence in us after they sign up and prior to their first booking.
Schedule, manage, and build photographers and copywriters and take responsibility for consistently excellent presentation of homes on the website.
Arm our home and member services teams with the tools and custom data they require to operate each new home.
Recruit, train and motivate a team of take-on executives.
Refine the take on process over time, making it ever more efficient while maintaining quality, and sharing learnings across all onefinestay geographies.
Qualifications
A minimum of three or four years of overall experience in an operations or commercial role. Experience at a start-up is a strong plus. High-growth experience is essential.
Some form of line management experience is essential (minimum of one year).
Self-assurance and maturity to work with a very broad range of personalities.
Practical and analytical by nature, with an organized mind and love of efficiency but also an appreciation for the subtle aspects of design and presentation.
The energy, drive and commitment required to keep pace with our ambitious growth targets.
Undergraduate degree from a top tier school.
Able to thrive in a start-up environment: comfortable with ambiguity, self-directive, instinctively takes initiative.
Desired skills
Confidence and ability to manage several complex projects and processes.
High level of organization & efficiency.
Sound commercial judgment & instinct.
Collaborative working style.
Strong work ethic & great attitude.
Enjoys building a business and wants to be an integral part of a trailblazing company.
Compensation
The role will pay a market salary package including options, but the biggest benefit will be working with and learning from exceptionally talented (and friendly) colleagues at an innovative start up.
