Adding new members fuels the furnace of our business. But managing someone?s home while they?re away is a big responsibility and there?s a lot we need to get right before we can receive guests on behalf of a member. The take-on team makes this possible, and we?re looking for a manager with the capacity to handle hot new homes and happy members at an ever-growing rate.
You will have management experience or clear leadership potential, because you?re going to be ultimately responsible for recruiting, training and inspiring a team of full-time take-on executives, along with a panel of freelance photographers, stylists and copywriters. You?ll be cool when the heat is on, and have the right blend of skills to co-ordinate the marketing and presentation of new homes, whilst maintaining a tight grasp of the operational aspects involved.
It?s not for the faint-hearted, and you?ll have to want to work in a rapidly-growing company, with all the thrills and spills that implies. You?ll often be out and about, building rapport with our new members in order to understand their preferences as well as the quirks of their homes. At the same time, you?ll need to work in close collaboration with the operations team to ensure that we?re firing on all pistons when we?ve taken a booking on a home.
Member relationships and experience: take ultimate responsibility for member satisfaction and experience up to the point of their first guest arrival. Inspire confidence in our operational capability whilst delighting new members with the quality of their onefinestay listing
Maintain home quality standards: ensure that all new onefinestay homes live up to our promise to guests, whilst also meeting the requirements and standards of our operation
Schedule, manage, and expand a roster of photographers and copywriters
Take responsibility for consistently excellent presentation of homes on the website
Recruit, train and motivate a team of take-on executives
Work closely with the NYC operations director, regional take-on coordinator, and NYC teams including member services, host relations, and reservations
Refine the take-on process over time across all onefinestay cities, achieving efficiency while maintaining quality
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of three or four years overall experience in an operations or commercial role. Experience at a startup is a strong plus. Experience of rapid growth is essential
Some form of line management experience is essential (minimum of one year)
Self-assurance and maturity to work with a very broad range of personalities
Practical and analytical by nature, with an organized mind and love of efficiency. You?ll also have an appreciation for the subtle aspects of design and presentation
The energy, drive and commitment required to keep pace with our ambitious growth targets
Undergraduate degree from a top tier school
Confidence and ability to manage several complex projects and processes
High level of organization and efficiency
Sound commercial judgment and instinct
