We?re looking for an experienced recruiter to manage the Talent Acquisition function for a growing medical diagnostics organization.
In this ?roll-up-your-sleeves? position, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will drive, document, execute, and optimize our recruiting and staffing function. You have the ability to excite candidates about the possibilities of a career with Quidel. This position requires a hands-on, full cycle recruiter to lead development of best practice employment branding for an innovative medical device/diagnostics company. Working closely with the Vice President, Human Resources and the other members of the HR team, you will create and lead talent acquisition activities for the corporation.
Key activities include:
Develop and implement employment branding strategies in line with corporate values to position Quidel for success in the marketplace.
Function as technical expert and functional leader for all talent acquisition for Corporate with guidance on best practices, policies, and procedures to subsidiary locations.
Recommend actions to further enhance and improve Quidel?s employment practices.
Develop and deliver interviewer training.
Communicate and pursue Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) goals.
Identify and track appropriate recruiting metrics, responding to trends as appropriate.
Participate in and often lead delivery of New Employee Orientation for Corporate hires.
Bachelor?s.degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree or certification a plus.
Minimum of eight (8) years progressively more responsible experience in Human Resources, at least three (3) years of which must include high level staffing and recruiting within the life sciences industry.
Strong selling and negotiation skills with a passion for connecting hiring managers with high caliber candidates.
Must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for wide range of positions.
Knowledge of state and federal employment law required.
Must be able to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and personalities.
High degree of ethics and professionalism while interacting with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Effective communicator with ability to communicate information in a clear, concise and tactful manner.
Must be organized and detail oriented.
Must be effective at promoting collaborative cross-functional working relationships.
Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and at the same time promote and facilitate a team effort.
High degree of professionalism while interacting with candidates, vendors, and colleagues.
