Who We Want:
The individual in this role primarily manages the U.S. tax
compliance, accounting, research and planning function for the business
including, income, property, sales, use and various other taxes. This is the
perfect opportunity for an outgoing and friendly tax professional to join an
industry leading company.
The Corporate Senior Tax
Manager-:
Oversees all tax compliance functions and ensures all critical deadlines are
met, including income tax, both federal and state, real and personal property
tax, sales use tax, asset tax, and other local taxes
Coordinates and works with outside tax professionals and internal and non-US company
resources to manage international tax risk and to comply with international tax
filings
Oversees the implementation of tax planning and tax risk management strategies
Performs research to support tax compliance
Prepares and reviews tax accruals and budgets
Prepares and reviews the consolidated income tax provision
Reviews analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
Coordinates tax compliance, research and planning with external advisors
Maintains internal controls over tax functions, including SOX 404 testing
Manages budget for professional fees with outside tax professionals
Coordinates and manages taxing authority and internal/external financial tax
audits
Assists with tax related Expatriate issues
Hires, supervises, and develops tax staff
Completes special requests and projects
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Required Skills:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a corporate tax background
Public company and SEC experience
BA in Accounting or Taxation
Advanced Tax degree is required
CPA certification is required
Compliance experience
Tax research experience
Desired Qualifications:
Detail oriented and organized
Self-motivated team player/collaborative
Strong project management skills
Must have the ability to manage large, multiple time sensitive projects
Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with the IRS and business unit personnel
Experience with implementation of Tax Compliance Systems and Software
U.S. international experience would be highly regarded
Industry experienceof 3-4 or more years is highly desirable
