We are current searching for an experienced Payroll Tax Team Specialist at our offices in Glenview, IL to join our Pay & File team of tax professionals who are responsible for the payment and filing of payroll taxes and compliance for all local, state and federal taxing units. This individual will work closely with SurePayroll?s operational and customer care teams to ensure timely, accurate tax filings.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include:
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax filings including federal, state and local filings
Reconcile tax-related transactions between payroll and tax systems
Be the payroll taxation expert for a set of states with regard to compliance and filling issues
Resolve escalated and complex payroll tax issues
Partner with departments such as Customer Care and Sales to keep them abreast of payroll tax trends and issues
Keep current with local and national payroll tax law and changes
The successful candidate will possess expert knowledge of payroll tax law with experience working in a service bureau environment supporting national customers. This individual must have strong business acumen, be technology savvy and have excellent communication skills, strong problem solving abilities and a passion for providing a seamless tax experience for customers. They have a high sense of urgency and are a natural relationship builder and collaborator. In addition, they are eager to learn and stay abreast of the latest developments in payroll tax law and regulation.

Requirements:
This individual must have 3-5 years of payroll tax experience in a service bureau setting. CPP certification and experience using Master Tax, or other payroll tax system, a plus.
