DescriptionThe Team Lead, Software Engineering will develop standard operating procedures and ensure team members follow industry standard ?best practice?
Provide support and guidance to other team members in the Software Development Lifecycle processes such as reviewing, designing and testing
Supervise project teams. Produce project plans and resource requirements for projects and provide regular feedback to management on project status
Ensure specified service level standards are achieved
Supervise staff and related activities including recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation and corrective counseling
Design, development and enhancement of health care application solutions following software development best practices
Work closely with other departments including the client technical solutions, project management and software quality assurance testing teams in the definition and delivery of quality solutions.
Ensure on time, quality deliverables within budget (estimates). Meet project milestones and deadlines.
Provide estimates for development tasks.
Recommend and assist in implementing software process improvements
Qualifications
5+ years of experience developing Java/J2EE web-based, hosted applications on a Linux platform
BS in Computer Science or related discipline
Strong knowledge and experience with APIs, extended components and frameworks within the J2EE arena: Eclipse, Ant, JSP/Servlets, JDBC, JavaScript, Apache, Tomcat and test driven development using JUNIT
Experience with high performance web applications
Strong SQL development experience
Strong knowledge of internet application development
Strong knowledge Linux operating system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to commute and work in the Cambridge, MA office
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field; with 5 years experience
