t our office in San Francisco, California, the Lead is responsible for developing innovative technologies for large-scale, high-performance distributed web systems. Primary responsibility will center on design, implementation, and architecture of the backend engine for a new web based game. Lead the design and development of a customer facing gaming application and drive implementation and delivery of new features. Work closely with Product Development and Design teams to create a successful product. Work with project team to execute overall project goals, quality, and timeline. Scale, implement, and maintain game systems and databases. Work closely with production to ensure project goals are delivered and approved. Develop qualitative and quantitative models of user behavior. Supervise and provide technical guidance to other engineers on the team. Become a subject matter expert in virtual world issues and solutions.Requires 4 years of experience in the design and development of online social networks or other social media web applications. Experience must include:
Use of creative programming toolkit, including Ruby on Rails and JQuery;
JavaScript;
MySQL or other SQL databases; and
REST architectures.
