Team Sales Manager/Director, Mid Market Mashery

Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager/Director (DOE) who will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing a growing mid market sales team. You?ll focus on leading and supporting reps in revenue generation and the achievement of individual and team quotas. The right fit for our team is someone who brings sales process, is highly organized and structured in training and development, yet brings a coaching style that makes people want to work for and with you.
You?re the type of person who doesn?t need to be asked why you do what you do. You show up everyday with an attitude to win and your team does too! This position reports directly into the VP of Sales (who oversees local and global) and who is also a six-year veteran of salesforce.com, so while you?ll get to work in a startup environment, you?ll also get to work in an environment that brings with it a team of proven excellence.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, and train reps on the Mashery sales process to focus on the growth of the mid-market sales sector (up to 1,000 employees)
Motivate individuals and team to meet and exceed pipeline
Create, document, organize, and deliver regular training sessions to current and new reps
Support direct reports by participating in and leading client and prospect meetings or engaging other company resources as required
Conduct weekly forecast meetings
Regularly coach and provide ongoing development of sales team in sales best practices and solution selling
Partner with the lead generation team in strategy and alignment of goals
Engage and coach the team regarding strategies to generate leads, sales cycle management, and contract negotiations to drive accounts to closure
Regularly report on sales activity and forecasts to the VP of Sales
Consistently monitor the sales activity of the team, tracking results, and provide feedback to team
Develop a partnership and collaborate well with marketing and product marketing to develop sales tools and collateral as well as consistent messaging and training materials for reps
Dig in and be hands on in learning the product and understanding our customers
Leverage Salesforce and other tools to analyze results and implement process improvements
Background/Requirements:
You?ve carried a quota and demonstrated success (overachievement even better) as a rep in the past, ideally with 5-8 years of emerging technology software sales (Saas or Enterprise software sales experience required)
Proven experience managing a quota carrying team that hit their performance goals
Demonstrated success in developing talent
Ability to evangelize API's to help our customers compete in this new digital world order
Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
Track record of hiring and training new sales representatives
Strong prioritization skills and time management skills
Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced environment
Proven experience with Salesforce, InsideView, Hoovers, and other software tools/applications
Strong MS office experience including word, excel, and PowerPoint
