If tech storytelling is writ into your DNA (and you?re a master at giving readers that ?aha? moment), Spiceworks just might have a position for you. We?re looking for a Tech Writer to join our Voice of IT team and help craft white papers, infographics, and other awesome content for our vendors. Your day-to-day (As a Voice of IT Tech Writer, you?ll):
Write AWESOME white papers, case studies, etc. ? ones thatIT pros can?t put down. Basically create meaningful content that busy IT pros can use as a go-to resource on different tech topics and trends.
Get up close and personal with data and use insights as a key ingredient in your storytelling.
Stay on top of tech topics to help vendors identify the tech areas IT pros want addressed and concept great content ideas.
Be an internal resource to ensure the technical accuracy of all Spiceworks surveys, research reports, infographics and other content pieces.
The must-haves: Your track record proves you?re?
A total techie. You sling tech talk with the best of ?em. You?ve probably got 5-10 years of experience in IT or a related field (IT analyst, IT journalist, technical writer). Technical chops are a must!
A top-notch storyteller and educator. You have the ability to take complex ideas and simplify them for your readers so they walk away better informed.
You know the stats. You understand how to read and write about data from surveys and other resources.
An expert (project) juggler. With out-of-this-world project management skills, you multi-task and complete complex projects flawlessly and under tight deadlines.
Grammatically on point. You have heated debates over the Oxford Comma, and typos make you lose sleep at night.
You get IT. We aren?t looking for someone whojust spins marketing speak. You?ll get ?real? with IT pros and use data to help inform, educate, and above all, engage them on topics they?re interested in.
Rabidly committed to excellence. Moving fast is no excuse for technical errors and missed deadlines. You?re comfortable getting (and using) constructive feedback ? it?s all about being the best!
