We seek a technical lead and manager to design and build the software stack for a distributed, high-performance system that handles upwards of 500k transactions per second and faces dramatic scaling and latency requirements going forward.A leader in this role will be absolutely vital to our organization, managing a team of brilliant engineers and owning the core execution engine that generates millions in revenue. You will be a thought leader within the company, possessing tremendous technical decision-making latitude and impact that is second to none (not to mention the career/upside components of working for a burgeoning company such as Quantcast).

Responsibilities:
Contribute to building a world-class RTB platform that handles up to 500k transactions per second. Design, develop, and optimize a highly scalable, globally distributed, low-latency data processing platform.
Innovate with new designs to support real-time targeting decisions. Apply proprietary Quantcast data and machine learning to ad campaigns and interface with 3rd party ad systems in real-time.
Manage and lead a tight-knit team of passionate software engineers. You will own the entire platform, grow and mentor your team, and direct engineering resources to achieve success.
Requirements:
Passionate, self-driven
Extensive development experience in high performance HTTP application design and implementation
Excellent understanding of performance, scalability and reliability problems at large scale
Proven ability to lead a small team and manage projects to tight deadlines
Excellent development skills in C/C++ or Java
Excellent knowledge of Linux systems and networking protocols
BS or MS in related field
