Aerohive is seeking a Tech Lead, Dev Ops to join our Cloud Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for Cloud base application support, integration with business applications to provide end-to-end business solutions. You will also be responsible for Engineering and Operations initiatives to develop and maintain our Cloud Services Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a broad understanding of business applications and systems integration, web services, back-end infrastructure, Cloud security, build & release engineering.
Dive into Aerohive Cloud applications features, workflow and fully understand customer use cases
Review and analyze application code to identify root cause and provide solution options, ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
Provide application performance and feature capability improvement recommendations to product development team for better customer experience
Improve provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment and release processes
Collaborate with development, and QA on Engineering projects
Participate in 24 x 7 global on-call support rotations
Effectively and frequently communicates with team members in different time zones to ensure rapid iteration and highly efficient implementation
A BS degree in computer science or a related field
7+ years in software development/operations
3+ years in managing a software development team a plus
Familiar with a wide range of tools and methods such as source code repository, continuous integration services, issue tracking, test automation, deployment automation, development team collaboration, and project management
Knowledge of DevOps tools, GIT, SVN, Jenknis, JIRA, Rally, Greenhopper, Puppet/Chef Vagrant, and Selenium
Understand both agile and waterfall model
Strong ability in collaboration and partnership working with PLM, Development, and QA
Hands on skills with Java, REST, shell, Python, and Ruby
Experience with Linux, HTTP web services, IP networking, Java-based technologies, HTML, XML including detailed knowledge of high-availability LAMP and Java environments
