We are currently seeking a Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer.
A technical leader and individual contributor for the WOS Access engineering group. The WOS Access product synchronizes gateways across multiple, geographically distributed sites to present a single, federated CIFS or NFS namespace of up to 30PB in size. WOS Access features data protection, disaster recovery, and lowest latency access by applications across multiple locations to enable global workflow. The industry's largest cloud applications rely on WOS for public and private storage clouds, online collaboration and content distribution, cloud backup and archives.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Writing design specifications, implementing new products or features, developing test-code for these new features, writing product documentation, and interfacing with architects, engineers, and other groups including QA, Tech Pubs, Product Management, and Support.
Designing and developing of new software features, fixing bugs, and porting to new platforms/architectures.
Also, performance tuning, working with the open-source community and 3rd-party suppliers, release management, product quality, and documentation.
Qualifications for this role are:
Minimum 10 yrs. experience in the data storage or computer systems industry with proven record of delivering commercial products.
In-depth development experience in several of the following technologies: NFS protocols, SMB/CIFS network protocols, Ganesha, Likewise, Samba, Linux, High-Availability Clusters, and Networking. Also, experience with Active Directory, Postgres, RabbitMQ, and/or Jenkins is a plus.
Master of Science in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree with equilvalent industry experience.
Good verbal and communication skills and a solid team player.
