Our team includes leading contributors and committers to the Lucene/Solr project, as well as experts in enterprise search, distributed computing, and scalability.
LucidWorks is currently looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager to join our Big Data business development team.
In the position, you will work with the team that solves big problems for LucidWork?s most strategic Big Data partners. You will be the key day-to-day technical point of contact responsible for building and managing the pre- and post-sales technical relationship. In this role, you will partner with clients and prospects to understand their business and strategic needs and enable their success by providing consultative services and creative solutions to challenging operational and technical issues. Client facing demeanor and technical aptitude is critical to identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues and advocate LucidWorks products and services.
Your success in this role will be measured by increased engagement and strategic alignment with key clients, as well as growing revenue from existing and new clients. Compensation will include a component linked to revenue growth driven by Big Data partners.
?Work with one or more designated Hadoop partners on a global basis to serve as a credible, reliable, likable, genuine, and trustworthy advisor for LucidWorks technologies
?Ensure Big Data partners understand and can perform installations, POCs, give presentations on the full range of LucidWorks products and services
?Work closely with LucidWorks? Product Marketing and Engineering teams as a client sponsor to insure our product plans meet partner?s future needs.
?Present product demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences including webinars, trade shows, and workshops
?Collaborate on internal LucidWorks projects.
?Domestic and international travel required. (40%-50% typical.)
?BS in Engineering, Cognitive Science, or Computer Science preferred.
?3 or more years of technical SE, consulting, or comparable customer facing experience required.
?Experience working with Lucene and/or Solr
?Experience working with Hadoop and/or other ?big data? tools
?Experience with enterprise search applications (FAST, Endeca, Vivisimo, Coveo, Exalead, Autonomy, Google Search appliance or others)
?Experience with one or more distributions of Apache Hadoop and supporting Big Data tools
?Exposure to other related open source projects (Mahout, Hadoop, Tika, etc.) a plus.
?Experience with other commercial and open source search technologies a plus.
?eCommerce and/or Business Intelligence experience a plus.
?Experience working in a startup a plus.
