Technical Account Manager Factual

The Technical Account Manager role is partner-facing, so the successful candidate will have a magical combination of technical chops and customer empathy. The Technical Account Manager will act as Factual's functional representative, so we're looking for the ability to make customers pleased and satisfied with our products. A fast-working, multi-tasker with good attention to detail helps too.
Own customer technical issues to resolution. Address issues from data quality to driver support.
Update and manage customer-facing technical documentation.
Respond to customer technical questions on our support forum (http://support.factual.com) and escalate to fellow engineers as needed.
Participate in requirements gathering and articulation of customer support tools, as well as contributing to coding of these tools.
Participate in customer onboarding.
Translate ideas and issues learned in the context of providing support into documentation and product suggestions as appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Would:
Have a degree in engineering or computer science.
Industry experience in technical support or professional services and engineering or sysops.
Be eager to learn new tools and skills related to data and APIs.
Linux proficiency and scripting level programming skills.
Customer facing communication skills.
Experience with issue tracking and version control.
Agile documentation development (wiki).
Desired Skills (at least two of the following):
Proficient in a language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Java
Drake/make, revision control
