Technical Account Manager [Sales], Heavy Vehicles North America Exa
POSITION PROFILE:
The Technical Account Manager TAM can work at Exa?s Metro Boston corporate office, the Midwest (Detroit or other city) or, for the ideal candidate, your preferred location. The TAM will fill a key leadership position within Exa?s Sales Team and report to the Technical Director, Heavy Vehicles North America .
We are particularly interested in candidates with a technical or engineering background who have experience providing consulting services, using advanced Computer Aided Engineering CAE Simulation Tools or developing highly engineered subsystems to build revenue for large OEM accounts in the Automotive and Ground Transportation Industry.
Experience building business with Ground Transportation OEM?s and Tier One Suppliers is a must. Experience with CAE/EDA tools and/or delivering consulting services to the Automotive, Racing, Heavy Vehicle and other OEM?s is also highly desired.
This position will be responsible to build business and generate increasing revenues at a select group of large OEM accounts. You will lead the consulting services engagement by working closely with customers and Exa?s Application Engineering team to use our suite of software products to drive projects and meet customer goals. You must have the demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels in key accounts to drive Exa?s agenda and add value to build revenue. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Manage existing project and consulting activity within select OEM accounts to achieve win-win outcomes for Exa and our customers.
? Support the Senior Sales Executive to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
? Develop account strategies to create value for key accounts and maximize revenue opportunity.
? Provide technical proposals and quotations as required.
? Support development of technical marketing initiatives for select accounts.
? Work closely with management and sales team to define OEM Account strategy, staffing requirements, pricing models, etc. to influence success.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
? BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
? 5 years Account Management or Sales with large OEM?s or Tier One Suppliers.
? 5+ years leading project teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
? 2+ years in vehicle Thermal Management, Aerodynamics, or Aeroacoustics.
? 2+ years in a product engineering or technical consulting environment.
? Solid knowledge of Underhood Thermal Management, Fluid Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Aeroacoustic and/or Heat Transfer fundamentals.
? Strong English written/verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
? Proven Account Management experience, developing/executing strategic account plans.
? Excellent Customer Facing Skills. Able to develop strong relationships with clients and lead clients during consulting services projects.
? Strong Negotiating skills; track record of increasing revenue in select OEM accounts.
? Excellent Project Management skills; able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
? Proven problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
? Willingness to travel up to 35% (US Domestic).
Additional Skills & Experience:
? Leadership potential, track record of success, personal integrity and desire to grow within a field sales organization.
? Background with Engineering Simulation Products.
? Experience with common CAD and or CAE tools is a plus.
? Experience with Automotive, Racing or Heavy Vehicle OEM?s a plus.
? Experience with SAS business models.
? Good understanding/experience with the product development process in the Ground Transportation Industry.
