Description
The role will be responsible for Desktop Management and Desktop Infrastructure related activities. The role will be filled in the Detroit office to assist with:
Design and deployment of Systems Management Solutions such as Microsoft?s System Center products
Conduct Windows 7 and Office 2010 migrations.
Conduct Desktop Assessments
Facilitate and lead planning sessions with clients
Assist with the development of best practices, guidance, and standardization for the internal team.
Presentations to internal and external clients around desktop management and best practices.
Assist in writing and review proposal/quotes for delivery to clients
Staying up to date on Microsoft exams related to desktop and systems management.
Responsibilities include:
Assist customers define a technology model that meets the needs of the organization according to the strategy and goals of the organization.
Design and implement new desktop management systems to help with the automation and maintenance of the desktop environment.
Responsible for the oversight of technical projects and teams from initiation through implementation. Provides overall direction for establishing project requirements
Make recommendation to customers on their technology roadmap that will help in the improvement of business in the organization.
Leverage best practices to help guide customers in the process of deploying and managing their desktop environments.
Leverage virtualization technologies to help streamline and automate the deployment of the desktop environment.
Experience Requirements:
Should have excellent presentation and communication skills
Be familiar with Project Management methodologies and best practices
Extensive experience with the implementation and troubleshooting of ConfigMgr and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
Extensive experience and knowledge of components involved with desktop deployment. i.e. application packaging, image development, deployment automation, group policy development, etc.
Knowledge of OpsMgr, SvcMgr, Group Policy Objects, Group Policy Preferences, Windows 7.
Strong understanding of Operation Methodologies such as ITIL and MOF.
7-10 years of experience, with at least three being as a consultant.
Passing of Microsoft Exams around desktop and systems management a plus
Ideal candidate will have experience with System Center 2012. i.e. ConfigMgr 2012, SvcMgr 2012, Orchestrator 2012.
