The Technical Assistance Engineer is responsible for providing excellent support of customer IT infrastructures hosted in Peak 10 data centers. The TAE is expected to be highly proficient in the design and maintenance of IT infrastructures utilizing virtualization, monitoring, backup and Microsoft technologies. The TAE works in a team that is directed by the Director of Service Delivery and acts as an escalation point for service requests that exceed the capabilities of other members of the team. The TAE is also responsible for helping refine and provide front-line feedback on Peak 10 products and services.
Provide world-class customer service.
Serve as an escalation point for technical problems in a support setting.
Actively manage customer service request and incident tickets to ensure timely resolution.
Provide project-oriented services within Peak 10?s scope of work.
Assist with the installation and configuration of Peak 10 services.
Attend product training sessions and disseminate information.
Creation of documentation to enable internal Peak 10 teams to meet operational goals and customer expectations.
Pre-sales support resource at the local data center, which includes:
Discovery and definition of customer application requirements;
Design of customer application solutions and preparation of statements of work;
Ensuring that solutions are supportable by all Peak 10 support teams.
Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities for customer support requests.
Maintain a working level of proficiency with all Peak 10 services;
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Strong experience in virtualization, IT security, and networking.
Extensive experience in MS windows operating systems, SQL server, Exchange server, and Active Directory
Strong interpersonal communication skills, high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong decision-making is critical to this position
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong sense of urgency and commitment.
