Technical Bid Response Manager Stoke

As a Technical Bid Response Manager, you will be responsible for understanding target customers, developing world class RFx responses, creating and managing content, and supporting sales and marketing initiatives. The initial focus would be on coordinating and leading Stoke's technical and commercial responses to complex mobile broadband RFI/RFP/RFQs and developing and maintaining support tools/infrastructure to automate/normalize Stoke's technical responses. This is a rare opportunity to play an important role in helping Stoke build and evolve industry leading products in the mobile internet space.
Organize, Co-ordinate, and Manage ad-hoc RFx bid response core teams.
Drive the development and delivery of best-in-class responses through combination of individual contribution and delegation of specific tasks to subject matter experts.
Serve as "Chief Editor" for all technical content generated in response to mobile broadband RFx to ensure quality, consistency, and clarity of key messages
Define, build/procure, RFx bid response tools/repository.
Report ongoing status and progress reports to key stakeholders including executive leaders.
Ensure Post-Mortems meetings are scheduled and completed, especially for opportunities lost.
Implement best practices and Drive continuous improvement in the Bid Response process
Develop high quality customer facing technical content for Stoke's multiple product lines
Support content needs of product management and marketing in general in the form of RFx responses, collateral development, customer presentations (including detailed technical overviews) and the like
Help develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Stoke's products in the market
Assist in performing competitive assessment and analysis
Sales collateral development and sales enablement ? build the right messaging for sales in order that they can communicate the value proposition of the products to the customer correctly. Also develop the sales tools that support the sales process with an emphasis on customized content development for pre-sales activities.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
7-10 years overall experience with at least 5 years in the telecom industry
3-5 years of software/hardware technical writing and/or bid response experience in established network equipment manufacturer
Ability to effective collaborate within a cross functional organization
Very strong written communication skills
Ability to put together effective presentation material
Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial
In-depth knowledge of wireless telecom networks, familiarity with 3GPP specifications, GSM/UMTS, Mobile Packet Core and IP protocols
Bachelor' in Engg (Electronics, Communications preferred)
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
