The Technical Business Analyst primary responsibility is for presentation-tier and middle-tier development tasks. The Technical Business Analyst works closely with other members of the Connecture software development team to deliver high quality web-based sales support solutions for the health insurance industry. Qualified candidates must possess strong problem solving and communication skills in addition to having a customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of accountability, attention to detail, and team work.
Roles and Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of the Technical Business Analyst are to.
?Serve as liaisons between end-users and consultants during the initial phase of IT and technology consulting projects.
?Works with client team Business Analyst to define product requirements.
?Define specifications and data models for product development and testing.
?Use development specifications to create detailed test cases and analyze results.
?Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to consulting team.
?Analyzes business problems to be solved.
?Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
?Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
?Designs details of automated systems.
?Provide consultation to user in the area of automated systems.
?Proactively prepare for project demands, including reports, updates and ad hoc processes.
?Reporting, communications and coordination with various team members and key stakeholders on independent activities.
?Identify other key system or business interdependencies.
?Responsible for developing all advanced aspects of presentation-tier and middle-tier web applications using Java and J2EE in the WebWork framework.
?Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and Web/Internet services.
?May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sound, and/or video.
?4 yr degree (BS in CS, CIS,MIS, Mathematics, Engineering or other hard science. Masters Degree preferred)
?Up to 3 years of experience developing software applications and/or web pages using the Java language
?Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
