Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: The Technical Business Analyst plays a critical consultative role working closely with our corporate financial clients from Wall Street to the West Coast as well as our internal development teams. The analyst will create detailed business, functional, design, and testing documentation for the development and implementation of FNC software solutions. He/she will work with Developers to modify software to meet requirements, test software modifications, and coordinate movement of modifications from development systems through Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing to production systems. Throughout this process the Technical Business Analyst will perform problem analysis and troubleshooting. Previous experience in the mortgage or banking industry is ideal, but is not required.
Assist primary Analyst formulating requirements, advising on alternatives, and the implications of new or revised modifications.
Create technical documentation such as Use Cases, User Stories, Data Flow Diagrams
Provide technical analysis and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with Developers, QA and Systems Engineers to design test plans and implement enhancements and fixes in an agile scrum environment.
Skills required for this position:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft ASP, ASP.NET, SQL Server, TFS.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Visio.
Candidate must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex systems with little supervision.
The applicant MUST have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent or a minimum 3 years' experience as a technical business analyst or requirements analyst in a software project lifecycle environment.
At least 2 years of proven experience working in a web application product environment.
Understanding of Database Design and ability to read and write basic SQL statements (T-SQL).
Understanding of ASP, ASP.NET, XML, Microsoft Reporting Services.
Work requires the physical demands of standing, bending, lifting, stooping or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).
Work is based in the Oxford or Detroit offices and involves intermittent to frequent travel.
