The Technical Consultant ? Level 3 serves as the team?s chief technical resource for the integration of the solution with the customer?s ERP and data ystems. Drives creation of the functional and technical solution specifications, and works with the project team to configure the solution based upon business requirements. Facilitates solution unit, integration and user acceptance testing as well as solution deployment. Manages multiple, complex projects simultaneously. Ensures an effective implementation and rollout that maximizes value from the solution. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement within the Professional Services organization.
Manage and document changes to project scope that have an impact on SciQuest's resource and/or time commitments.
Manage the solution configuration, deployment and software issue resolution to ensure a timely solution acceptance.
Code and test integration packages based on technical specifications.
Manage the end-to-end testing process; ensuring the highest quality of the code developed.
Design and Deliver webMethods integration middleware for data manipulation between customer systems and SciQuest.
Hold Code Review sessions with internal stakeholders to validate each client solution.
Establish and manage relationships with clients to sustain a strong business relationship leading to high client satisfaction, retention of existing business and development of new business.
Facilitate solution and process workshops to identify client business objectives, define project goals and provide a plan for maximizing the value of the solution.
Lead client and SciQuest project team members to define and document client business requirements, assess the need for, and recommend process enhancements, and document software and integrations specifications for configuring the solution.
Proactively identify and mitigate or resolve project risks and issues. This includes identifying alternative solutions either through changes to client workflows or software, making recommendations of alternatives, and facilitating decision-making on the path forward.
Team effectively with other parts of the SciQuest organization to address and resolve client issues.
Update integration documentation according to changes implemented in code releases
Possess strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the client
Manage communication of appropriate project information to clients and within SciQuest
Provide appropriate work direction and mentoring to other team members, assisting and counseling as required. Influence others, through motivation and encouragement, to accomplish team goals.
Ensure a successful client transition from Implementation to Support.
Develop and maintain proficiency in the company's software solutions, solution methodologies, and core technologies.
Responsible for the successful technical implementation of configurable applications for client engagements (on time and on budget). May have overall responsibility or may take work direction from a Senior Solution Integration Consultant/Application Specialist.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
5+ years of business experience with 3+ years of demonstrated experience in application implementations /providing consulting services in a client environment.
2-5 years eProcurement, Supply Chain or Contract Lifecycle Management software application experience is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of HTTPS communications, SQL and XML
Experience supporting hosted software that integrates with client's existing systems (e.g., ERP systems).
Proficient in the use of MS Project, Excel and Word as well as other typical business productivity tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive level presence and experience in facilitation.
Business Process Implementation experience in eProcurement or Supply Chain is preferred.
Business automation and workflow process development desirable.
Knowledge/experience with Agile software development is preferred.
Knowledge of webMethods integration server is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, presentation, documentation and problem solving skills.
Must be able to learn quickly, make strong individual contributions and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment
Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
Depending on the product line, experience with latest Microsoft web-based technologies and SQL server preferred.
Database Admin & Maintenance (backup/Restore)
May require domestic and international travel. Travel ranges from 30 - 50%
