The Internal Training department within the Workday Development organization is looking for someone who can design and create self-paced, computer-based technical training courses to support the training of our development and support organizations. In this job, you will work with the experts within the Internal Training department to build computer-based lessons covering the various conceptual components of our proprietary, object-oriented development environment. The fruits of your efforts will enable Workday developers, QA technicians, security analysts, and the like, to build on their understanding of the core components of our technology and understand how to utilize them in order to create the best cloud-based, enterprise applications in the market.

In this position you will collaborate with the internal trainers to determine what topics will be covered via computer-based training. Decide what information to cover and how it will be delivered. You will then build out the self-paced systems that can be accessed on-demand by those in need of first-time training or occasional refresher sessions. This job will require you to draw on the following:  prior engineering experience, expertise in developing computer-based training, your initiative, communication skills, and creativity.

Experience/Responsibilities/Skills:

• 3 years minimum experience building e-learning courses


• Proficiency with Captivate or some other comparable CBT system


• Strong software technical aptitude


• Working knowledge of some object oriented programming language, such as Java or C++. Past computer development experience required.


• Demonstrated ability to understand complex programming problems


• Self motivated personality, with demonstrated pride of ownership and excellent ability to manage projects and time


• Strong team partner, with good communication skills


• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related major
