Axeda is looking for a talented Technical Engagement Manager to manage all customer activities around Professional Service Engagements. As part of Axeda?s Professional Services team, the Engagement Manager will work closely with the customer, Sales, Solution Architects and Software Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide expertise to define and develop appropriate technical solutions while managing expectations to delight our customers.
Strong technical acumen is required to be successful in this role.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
Manage all activities around Professional Services engagements, including: facilitating scoping sessions, documenting functional specifications, leading project teams, managing customer expectations, mitigating risks, controlling budget, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Able to understand, explain and guide customers toward the appropriate Axeda technical solutions in line with Axeda best practices.
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule as outlined in the project Statement of Work (SOW).
Conduct the business analysis required to document project use cases and requirements specifications.
Develop technical expertise in Axeda?s applications/products and Implementation Methodologies.
Provide limited end-user training and product demonstrations.
Deliver and review the completed solution to the customer.
Manage and prioritize demands of multiple concurrent projects of varying scope.
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
Strong technical acumen and aptitude.
A strong working knowledge of web services technology is a core requirement (Java, XML, SSL? JBoss/Web Logic are a plus).
A working understanding of network architecture.
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate cross-functionally to get results.
Strong project management skills including project planning, staffing, risk mitigation, and budget control.
Ability to effectively communicate and manage expectations of a wide range of people including the Sales team, Customers/Partners and all internal stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, of varying scope, in a fast paced environment.
Requires a demonstrated passion for customer service; ensure the client can serve as a reference once the client is in production.
Experience:
Four plus years of project management experience in a similar consulting role.
A strong technical background and experience with enterprise software solutions (SaaS and/or PaaS is a plus).
Background in M2M services, Remote Service Management, Asset Management, is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
PMP Certification is a plus.
