Connecture interns work on a variety of projects depending on their interests and skill areas and, of course, our needs. These can range from conducting research and creating documentation for development processes, to configuring workflow components, working on rich UI and APIs, and supporting our QA efforts. We give our interns real responsibilities - working on real projects impacting our processes. Our interns usually work between 15-40 hours a week, depending upon their availability and our needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will depend on the specific team the intern supports, but can include:
?Performing light research
?Creating documentation for our development processes
?Analyzing and organizing data
?Working with architects and senior developers to gather and fully understand functional requirements
?Adopting test-first approach and writing rigorous tests before implementing functionality
?Writing modules in Java or .Net to support core product engineering, QA, or other functionality
?Working on workflow configurations using our proprietary tools.
?Performing controlled stage and production deployments
?College Junior or Senior majoring in Computer Science or equivalent field
?Major GPA: 3.5+
?Must have a solid understanding of Java and Object-Orientated Programming or .Net programming
?Strong analytical and problem solving skills
?Ability to commit to a schedule (which can be changed periodically, e.g., due to school)
?Attention to details, accuracy and deadlines
?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
?Rapid and motivated self-learner
