Description:
We are seeking an energetic individual who will spearhead design efforts for Application Security's line of products and will become the route planner for technology change within the company. The candidates need to have demonstrated ability to do hands-on work and be ready to put him or herself at the service of the entire engineering organization, working with developers on component design while also spelling out the roadmap for component and product evolution and driving decisions on objectives and goals, processes, systems, and technologies used.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with several engineering managers and a distributed development team on everyday design decisions leading towards a robust and increasingly scalable line of products
- Spell out principles of design within the software architecture framework
- Maintain a knowledge base detailing the architecture of the system and its individual components from high level summary to implementation
- Evangelize and educate the team on technology aspects of design and development through presentations and events
- Maintain and evolve a service-oriented architecture
- Design, develop, document and maintain service models
- Own the Technology & Architecture Wiki and an internal Technology blog
- Produce a stream of internal and external whitepapers and blog posts.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to evolve complex software products
- Minimum 7 years of industry experience
- At least 3 years in a senior engineering manager or architect position
- Experience with a broad range of technologies, including Java, .NET and C++
- Hands on experience with service-oriented architectures
- Hands on experience with a variety of database products
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills
- Experience writing and presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
- Good understanding of the Windows Platform
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts a plus.
