At this point in time, we are searching for a Technical Lead to help our clients realise their business goals.
Our vision is to be world class leaders in the provision and management of specialist IT infrastructure solutions for our clients. We rely on our great team of expert Technical Leads to ensure the provision of Information Technology services to Dimension Data clients ensuring that their infrastructure and systems remain operational.
As a Technical Lead at Dimension Data, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of IT services by proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems and to restore service to clients by managing incidents to resolution.
What we will expect you to do:
We will rely on you to drive compliance to all service level agreement conditions.
We will need you to ensure that the assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational.
You will need to ensure that incidents are updated with progress and resolution details.
We will rely on you to liaise with all stakeholders including client IT environments, vendors, carriers and Dimension Data colleagues to expedite diagnosis of errors and problems and to identify a resolution.
You will be required to manage shifts and complete and maintain any shift hand over schedules.
We will rely on you to take responsibility for the operational management of the team.
But most of all, we need you to act as the bridge between business and IT. In order to achieve this you will be required to strictly comply with and ensure compliance to all processes and procedures as prescribed by Dimension Data and the client when relevant.
Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Experience as a Technical Lead - let's say about 10 years, of which at least 8 years must be in a related industry.
An IT degree with CCIE.
People management and leadership experience.
Key abilities required:
Able to effectively communicate and engage with clients, team members and management alike.
Able to balance delivery with agreed and contracted expectations.
Able to work with large volumes of detail.
Able to lead and successfully manage a team of support engineers.
