Technical Lead/Scrum Master - Product Development Vitrue

Summary

We're looking for talented, passionate technical leaders who want to solve interesting problems in social media, primarily on Facebook and Twitter.

The Technical Lead/Scrum Master will be responsible for leading developers in expanding our social product suite. Will participate in the design and some coding of end-to-end applications including database models, application logic, and presentation layers. Will be responsible for integrating and scaling several of our marquee products that are getting tremendous adoption. Experience with SCRUM, and SaaS deployment models strongly preferred. This is a key and senior level position. Our Technology stack includes MongoDB, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and JQuery, to name a few technologies, but we're looking for sharp individuals who are able to adapt the right technologies to solve business problems.

Responsibilities

Lead development process (SCRUM) and be the technical expert on at least one product team - 25

Solve architecture level problems and mentor user interface, application, and data model developers - 50

Produce high-quality, standards-compliant code on short deadlines - 25

Work with the Marketing Team and other non-development groups to engage consumers using social media

Requirements

Solid software development skills

Solid experience leading ui, application, and database developers in producing quality web software (cloud experience a plus)

Three or more years developing in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, PHP, or any "next gen" language

Proficiency at optimizing SQL queries (exposure to NoSQL is a plus)

Experience with Mac OS X or another -NIX

JavaScript and the typical web-related alphabet soup (HTML, AJAX, JSON, XML, CSS, etc.), HTML5 exposure is a plus

Strive for beautiful code

Bonus points if youre good at playing old arcade games and ping pong

Desirables

Social Media experience is a plus

Experience in a start-up environment is preferred
