Technical Marketing Engineer Ruckus Wireless
The Technical Marketing Engineer is the primary technical resource for the sales and marketing teams. This role will have assigned areas of ownership and influence, and will play a role in strategic departmental initiatives. You will help develop technical documents, whitepapers, best practice guides, and provide in depth competitive analysis. You will help with interoperability validation for our third party RIOT (Ruckus InterOp Testing) partners, while providing wide-ranging support for the product management team on technical requirements.

Ruckus Labs configuration, testing, and general network maintenance (for lab use only)
Product demonstrations for partners, prospects, and industry influencers as needed
Development and delivery of technical whitepapers, product application notes, best practice guides, and performance analysis
Creation and maintenance of competitive test beds for assigned competitors
Offer networking expertise to support product marketing
All candidates MUST HAVE in-depth technical knowledge of fundamental wireless licensed/unlicensed technologies, RAN, etc.
Must have initiative to resolve problems by a combination of research and consulting with experts
Field Experience and/or Customer Support (SE, Inside Sales, Professional Services, Tech Support?) is a plus
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as this role requires significant interaction with partners, customers and field personnel and will require the creation of cogent, well-organized and well-written technical and competitive material
Must have in-depth technical knowledge in the following areas:
Networking Infrastructures: Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, VLAN, IPSec, SSL, Firewalls
Must have good project management skills and be a tactical thinker
Must be a ?love to tinker? type who is hands-on and loves to try out the latest products and releases
Must have at least 5 years in a technical role in Wireless and/or Networking (background in Technical Marketing, Technical Support, Quality Assurance, IT, Professional Services are examples)
Must have proven success in setting up network infrastructures
Must be comfortable speaking about our technologies at trade shows, events, and meetings.
Must be highly driven and self-motivated for a fast paced evolving environment
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
