Technical Marketing VP Virtustream
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Marketing VP is expected to be both a technical expert as well as a cloud evangelist who has a commanding understanding of cloud software and IAAS, enterprise cloud computing (private, public, and hybrid clouds), and is able to position both Virtustream IAAS and xStream cloud software in the market.
This person is responsible for technical marketing, liaising with product development, and support of the Virtustream field, partners and customers to differentiate Virtustream's strategy. This person will achieve this goal through daily interaction with executive team, product development, field and customers partner ecosystem, as well as customers. This person will be responsible for the development of technical enablement materials including demos, presentations, blogs, web-copy, white papers, videos and field training courses. Also, this person will be heavily engaged in technical customer meetings, training and evangelism to sales, partners, and customers.
The candidate must be a self-starter, be able to deliver on projects after being given high-level objectives and an appropriate amount of guidance, and most importantly, have a strong understanding and appreciation for the requirements of the virtualization and cloud market. Strong presentation and written communication skills are required. Also, the candidate must have strong inter-personal skills to work successfully with the sales and partner organizations.
Collaborate with the Product management groups in the development of materials.
Drive technical collateral supporting the virtustream field, including training initiatives.
Demonstrate technical credibility to develop marketing material in a short timeframe
Interact directly with customers, analysts, field, channel partners on cloud marketing areas
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS:
Must be able to demonstrate both a passion for management technologies and cloud solutions, and a strong understanding of the sector
Must have detailed knowledge and of cloud technology
Willing to travel up to 30% (depending on time of year) in order to evangelize virtustream solutions with sales, partners and customers.
Minimum of 10 years? experience in presales or technical marketing with experience in enterprise management/enterprise systems management solutions.
Minimum of 10 years? experience in the high-tech industry or IT experience.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work across teams.
Exceptional people, presentation and written skills are a prerequisite.
BA or BS required MA, MS or MBA preferred.
San Francisco is a preferred location but remote candidates will be considered.
