THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Jive is looking for a Technical Operations Intern with the perfect mix of technical know-how and operations experience. This position helps power the largest online communities in the world with the leader in the Social Business space. We?re building our infrastructure from the ground up to meet and exceed the scalability demands of the enterprise.
Learn process and procedures for monitoring and responding to alerts in the production environment.
Provide summary of UAT environment and where monitoring can be improved and/or expanded to provide improved client satisfaction.
Support the Jive application of all hosted services customers to ensure proper performance, connectivity and accessibility.
Utilize network monitoring tools to identify, diagnose and fix network issues.
Identify areas of improvement and continually refine and improve our monitoring tools and processes.
Use our ticketing system to document customer trouble cases, network incidents, and infrastructure maintenance.
Work customer trouble tickets and coordinate escalations to other SaaS Operations and Engineering teams.
Produce technical documentation to aid effective troubleshooting and provisioning.
Working on degree in Computer Science, Security, IT or related.
Firm understanding of TCP/IP networking
Understand, create, and debug Shell, Perl and/or Ruby scripts
Highly focused on attention to detail
Must be able to effectively troubleshoot in a complex environment
Must take ownership of issues and pursue resolution of issues tenaciously
Must be an effective communicator and be able to disseminate information effectively and appropriately to a variety of audiences
Must be self-motivated to continuously improve one?s self and Jive?s service as a whole
