Description
As a member of our System Technology group, your job would involve:
Reviewing infrastructure to identify response time problems
Researching response time problems to identify whether an issue is software or hardware related
Documenting progress and findings in our internal tracking system
Engaging with customers to gather more information about specific issues
Providing and justifying recommendations to the infrastructure to resolve performance issues
Following up with service groups, corporate partners, development groups and the customer to verify that changes have been made

Requirements
Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
1-3 years experience investigating server issues in a Windows Server 2003/2008 environment
1-2 years experience with Windows Perform or similar tools is desired
Knowledge of acceptable ranges for CPU, disk, memory and network counters
Familiarity with Microsoft Sysinternals tools: Process Explorer, Process Monitor, TCP View, RAMMAP
Knowledge of how to take and read a network trace with Wireshark and/or Microsoft Network Monitor
Knowledge of common network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMB, TLS
Working knowledge of VMWare performance counters and troubleshooting performance issues in a VMWare environment
High level programming experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Organized and thorough documentation skills
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Ability to take the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision
