We are looking for a Product Manager with a mix of real software skills and business savvy. You could even be a developer who has done 'some' product management and are ready to take the leap. At New Relic, you will be a core member of the team responsible for framing product strategy and vision, relations with customers and eco-system and partners, and working with engineering management to oversee progress of development efforts. You will impact time-to-market and customer value, and, through these, will help drive continued company growth and profitability.
--Contribute to a long term product vision, help build the roadmap
--Identify significant unmet market needs that leverage New Relic's core technologies, strengths and market leadership
--Drive product priorities through the entire development cycle (in collaboration with Engineering, Marketing, and partners)
--Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements
--Participate in customer facing events and user conferences as a product expert
--Take ownership for outcomes - proactively work the critical path and anticipate potential risks, putting appropriate mitigation plans in place
Skills and Experience:
--5+ years software product management - or software development with product planning responsibilities
--Experience as a software developer or knowledge of web services technologies
--Experience with Agile development methodologies
--Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead via influence, patience and determination
--A market and customer view of the product is essential
--Outstanding analytical/problem-solving skills
--BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
You may get special attention if you also have:
--A background in big data analytics
--Experience managing an online product/service from inception to delivery
--Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource allocation, project management, and schedule development
