POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for defining technical requirements and translating into full specifications, working closely with Product Development to ensure product deliverables meet the desired business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Serves as primary technical product expert and evangelist
Acts as a liaison between Product Management and Engineering by communicating product specifications and business vision into clear, well defined user stories
Collaborates with Product Managers and Engineering to manage and prioritize backlogs, burn downs, and product roadmaps
Leads product design, development and release process for assigned products and maintain the product development roadmap in conjunction with the engineering team and product management team
Works with the Engineering Product Analysts team to specify and scope features, as well as define acceptance criteria for those features
Works with Product Managers to determine ongoing priorities and business value for functionality and stories
Coordinates alignment of development, testing, infrastructure, support and implementation teams for successful introduction of products to market
Performs hands-on technical troubleshooting on products
Assists in the creation of test case scenarios for all of phases of feature product launch
Supports field team on key customer calls and documents answers to technical questions that cannot be answered by sales staff
Supports internal teams by leading the development and maintenance of various technical collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related technical subject required
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in object-oriented design methodology and application development as well as a strong technical background
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Product Manager
Good working knowledge of Java, J2EE, Web services, ETL concepts, Analytics, VB, ASP, Oracle and SQL server
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Hands-on experience translating business requirements into low-level technical requirements and articulating these to development and infrastructure teams
Strong organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Must have experience with cross-functional teams that include engineering, professional services, sales and marketing staff

Ability to travel up to 50%
