Technical Product Manager - Platform and API Zoosk
Zoosk is looking for a tech savvy product manager to work closely with our teams and technologies that enable rapid client development across all of Zoosk's products. The position will also lead third-party integration projects, monitor system performance, and work with client teams. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in technology, perhaps as an engineer, technical lead, or project manager who also has an aptitude for product, can work with vendors, and is highly organized.
Responsibilities:
This position will guide development of Zoosk's core technologies and requires considerable technical experience, preferably in software engineering. He or she will write product specifications with Zoosk's Platform and API teams as well as work directly with client teams during their product development cycle. The Technical Product Manager will also maintain relationships with third party service providers and evaluate their services to enable future product development. The position will monitor the performance of Zoosk's API to help ensure high-quality, responsive application performance.
Qualifications:
3-5 years managing platform products for social media, gaming, or consumer software
Ability to create technical product specifications
Project management experience deploying complex systems like SOLR or Tigase
Solid understanding of application architectures, databases, search, instant messaging, etc.
Experience evaluating vendor products to meet current or future needs
Experience with product performance monitoring and optimization
Strong organizational and analytical skills & attention to detail
Strong Excel / SQL / Data analysis and reporting skills
1-2 years software development experience a strong plus
Previous start-up experience preferred
BA/BS degree ? CS/EE/Engineering degree preferred
