Liquidnet is looking for an exceptional Senior C++/Java developer to join the Global Trading Technology team which is responsible for building infrastructure for algorithmic trading and smart order routing to provide our clients and agency traders with superior order execution while minimizing their market impact. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join an agile, highly professional team that collaborates with other Developers, Quality Assurance, and Business representatives to deliver crucial features to help grow this exciting business within Liquidnet. This person will be part of the Trading Technology development team, playing a key role in the design, implementation, deployment and support of the next generation trading infrastructure related products.About You

Responsibilities
Hands-on design and development of key infrastructure components including; low latency order state machines and order handling interfaces, rules engines, messaging layer and other frameworks and utility services.
Succeed in an environment where everyone participates in all aspects of the development process.
Develop innovative solutions in a strategic, pragmatic way.
Keep current with industry trends and incorporates emerging best practices into everyday work.
Qualifications/Skills
7+ years of application architecture and design experience within the Financial Equities Domain.
BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Proven understanding of design patterns, object oriented design, distributed systems, and modern software architecture.
Solid background in building low latency, distributed multiprocessor multithreaded and high performance systems.
Extensive knowledge of Order Management and Order Routing.
Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS.
Expert proficiency in both C++ and Java.
Exceptional problem solving skills.
Knowledge of event-driven (publish/subscribe) programming models.
Experience with unit and automated integration testing.
Traits
Motivated self-starter with strong 'take charge' attitude.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable leading others as well as being a major contributor to the project.
Capable of following through on projects independently with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Agile Methodologies.
Experience with messaging products, such as Smart Sockets, 29West, Solace, RTI.
Knowledge of 3rd party open source frameworks, such as Boost.
