Description:This position is for one of the leading providers of interactive television solutions in the broadband industry. The company provides a comprehensive suite of software products to the market with cable and satellite companies as its primary customers. Our products offer the state-of-art solution in interactive television applications and advanced advertising solution. Our office is located in Dulles, VA, along the Northern Virginia technology corridor with close proximity to Dulles airport.
The company is seeking a talented individual for the position of Technical Program Manager. This person will focus on understanding the business and technical requirements across one or more Programs to deliver various products of the company. The Program Manager will manage customer expectations during development,delivery and implementation with ownership of technical and schedule issues. The Program Manager will work closely with the different functional groups with a focus on dealing with external customer/partners to manage and perform all tasks and activities to effectively position, integrate and deliver products for widescale commercial deployment. The Program Manager will ideally have experience with implementing new software products in the interactive television and/or cable industry.
Requirements:
Manage all facets of software implementation efforts, from Program inception to production support
Assist in business requirements analysis, solutions design, requirements definition and gap analysis
Manage Program activities, provide Program status and communication with Program and team members
Determine documentation and status requirements
Coordinate with external customer/partner/vendor for development activities
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
4-year degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years hands on experience with end-to-end system implementation, design & integration activities
Understand software Program management methods and tools and have demonstrated experience in customer-facing role(s) with responsibility for maintain Program status and schedule
2+ hands on experience with Program management, preferably in a dynamic small to mid size company
Experience with cable technology a plus (HFC, MPEG, tru2way, EBIF)
Experience with embedded software, and the software development life-cycle and general software development methods a plus.
