Technical Project Manager Rivermine Software
Description
The Technical Project Manager has primary responsibility for delivery of technical implementation projects, with an emphasis on systems and data integration, for the Emptoris Contract Management, Spend Analysis, and Sourcing Portfolio Platform. The position requires working with internal groups (product marketing, implementation services, R&D, QA) and external customers to gather requirements, write technical specifications, develop implementation estimates and plans, and deliver to those plans. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects and provide guidance to technical staff. The Technical Project Manager will become proficient in Emptoris integration solutions and lead the definition and delivery of integration projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide solution expertise and leadership in defining and delivering integrated solutions on top of a core product architecture
Assist Sales and Implementation Services with gathering integration requirements and writing functional specifications to address customer business needs
Ensure customer satisfaction through delivery of quality solutions on time and within budget
Assist Sales and Business Development with partner and customer (pre-sales) opportunities
Develop Statements of Work qualifying new integration projects with scope definition and cost estimates
Experience and Skill Requirements
Minimum 5 years software package implementation or systems integration consulting experience.
Project management experience (4 years minimum).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Consistent track record of meeting project budget and delivering milestones on time.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
Able to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative and team oriented environment.
Big 5 or equivalent consulting experience.
Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus: WebMethods, Actuate, SQL and integration experience using Web services.
Web development experience is a plus.
BS Computer Science or equivalent degree.
