Description:We have an immediate opening in our New York office for the position of Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for hands-on technical management of software development projects that include global Commerce implementations on the CTS Commerce Platform with complex integration workflows between third parties and vendors. This position is responsible for gathering and documenting technical requirements, creating and tracking technical project plans, coordinating software development, QA testing, and release management.
The candidate must have 2-4 years of experience in project management in software development. Ideal background is a candidate with hands-on Software Development experience and has now transitioned into a Project Manager role. Candidate must be a team player and solutions-oriented, have excellent communications and social skills, be able to organize time effectively and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate meetings with the stakeholders and clients to gather functional and technical requirements of end-to-end eCommerce and integration projects
Draft and maintain Technical Requirements documentations to document solutions-based processes and workflows.
Manage a technical project team of architects, developers, QA testers, and operations engineers.
Support the development and management of project plans, schedules, project tracking, milestone deliveries and status reports for multiple projects.
Track defects/bugs, help the team troubleshoot issues
Manage the software releases working with the operations engineers (launches, hot-fixes, deployments to different environments)
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices and how it affects implementation - from Product Discovery, to Checkout, Online Marketing, to Integration with 3rd party vendors.
High-level understanding of Server-Side and Client-Side Web Development and various SDLC approaches
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Results oriented, organized, highly motivated and detail-oriented with a high level of energy/high sense of urgency.
Preferred Skill Set:
Must have general understanding of web technologies (HTML, XML, .Net, SQL, etc.)
MS Project experience preferred
MS project, excel, Visio, version and defect tracking, and word skills
