Technical Project Manager - QA Spongecell
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Meticulous attention to detail, check. Super organized, check. Amazing communication skills, check. If this is you, we want to hire you for our quality assurance analyst. Your primary role will be to oversee testing and manage the progress of software projects and fixes. Specifically, you?ll be coordinating critical issues to ensure they are fixed, patched and the people affected are notified and happy.
Testing and Overall Quality
Engineers add and fix software all the time, and you will need to make sure that these improvements don?t introduce any new problems. You will become intimately knowledgeable of our software tools and platforms, and with each new elegant engineering build, you?ll ensure everything continues to function flawlessly by:
Performing and updating regression testing cases so anyone can go through them (regression testing uncovers new bugs that crop up in existing software after new features or patches are made).
Learning and implementing best practices.
Reviewing, reproducing, documenting, prioritizing, and escalating bug fixes.
Preparing release notes and documenting changes made to our system.
Coordinating with departments to deliver their own sets of test to run.
In addition to finding bugs and documenting what you find, you will work with users to gather any issues they encounter and work with engineers to reproduce issues and ensure a fix. You will manage a bug collection tool to see what people are experiencing, communicate timelines and solutions, and follow up with the engineering team to make sure they understand the issue and prioritize work to correct errors. Projects include:
Interfacing with users to explain releases and features, and to gather performance and bug information.
Proactively managing cases and bugs.
Maintaining accurate documentation using support cases in CRM, defects, and knowledge bases.
Creating defects and requesting more information necessary for bug tracking.
Working closely with Engineering to communicate bug data and reproduce complex feature issues and performance problems.
You don?t need to be technical, but you should be very technically savvy. Ideally, you know about the software release process, maybe have even tested web apps before. Perhaps you were a technical account manager or customer service rep. Communicating with users and engineers takes amazing communication skills, and you are direct, thorough, and personable.
If you fit all the requirements listed in this posting, send us your salary requirements and a copy of your resume. In your cover letter, show us why you are a good fit for Spongecell and this position. Tell us about a bug or issue that you?ve uncovered in your work, and how you went about ensuring it was fixed. How has your impeccable attention to detail helped save the day before?
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and work in compliance with the ADA. You must be eligible to work in the US. We look forward to hearing from you!
