Overview:
YellowDog Media builds social buy and sell sites that are like Craigslist and eBay but much more fun, social and innovative. The first two sites, Yardsellr and style.ly have built communites of over 8MM people on Facebook and Twitter who are passionate about everything from Star Trek, to Elvis, from NASCAR, to Jewelry, from Guitars, to Computers, and from Vintage Clothing to the latest chic fashion styles.
Responsibilities:
? Partner with Head of Engineering to understand staffing requirements
? Lead and own full-cycle recruiting process
? Develop and post appropriate Job Descriptions
? Identify talent through creative sourcing channels (e.g. social networking, internet research, regular networking events, cold calling)
? Screen and qualify candidates
? Manage interview and offer process
? Conduct reference checks
? Make compensation recommendations
? Close and hire candidates
Requirements:
? BS or BA in applicable field, e.g. Communications, Human Resources or Business
? 2+ years technical or engineering recruiting with proven track record of success
? Experience sourcing and closing technical candidates
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? No fear of cold calling and networking
? Self-starter with strong time management skills and sense of urgency
? Experience delivering effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
? Team player with a good sense of humor who wants to make a difference
Compensation:
? Initial 3-6 month contract with Full-time potential based on performance
? Competitive salary and bonus structure
