Technical Sales Account Manager Avo Photonics
To support its continued exciting growth, Avo is seeking an engineer or scientist interested in utilizing both technical and communication skills to fill the position of Technical Sales Account Manager. This senior level position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced salesperson to manage existing accounts and develop new ones while actively extending offerings into the medical, industrial, military, and communication markets. This position reports directly to the President.
Responsibilities:
Establish/maintain technical and personal relationships with multiple existing customers through periodic participation in weekly engineering reviews, onsite visits, and timely email/telephone communications
Seek and close additional new opportunities while growing business with existing customers
With thorough engineering knowledge of company service offerings, create technical cost models and quotes to demonstrate program understanding, balance financial requirements, and satisfy customer needs
Participate in tradeshow exhibitions and assist in generation of new leads; follow-up and manage conversion to contacts, opportunities, and then customers
Maintain and manage SalesForce database, weekly sales reports, and sales forecast
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in engineering or science
Experience with program/project management or system engineering
Demonstrated technical sales capabilities
Understanding of opto-mechanical component assembly/packaging process
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
