Technical Sales Engineer - SALES001 Polatis Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Polatis is searching for a seasoned individual with a proven track record of success selling networking solutions to the data center, service provider and telecom markets. Reporting to the VP Sales, the ideal candidate will possess a combination of sales skills and strong technical acumen in networking and optical products.
Primary responsibilities include
Develop strategy and implement programs for penetrating target market, including targeted account sales programs
Execute on the strategy and programs to exceed territory?s goals
Serve as the primary technical interface to the client to appropriately qualify sales leads and move customers through the sales cycle, interfacing with product development team to ensure that customer requirements can be met
Communicate with Product Management and Engineering on target market product requirements and provide feedback on product roadmaps and strategies
Communicate prospect status to the VP Sales on an ongoing basis including issues, opportunities and forecasts
Build relationships with technical and management contacts within customer and prospect base
The candidate will possess a passion for functioning at the intersection of technology and sales in the customer environment and will have demonstrated success in a technical sales environment within the optical communications space including:
Solid technical grasp of optical networking and applications within the target market
Strong technical and business knowledge of and a track record of successful selling (S/W and H/W networking solutions) in the Telecom, Wireless, Cable/MSO, Data Center, Cloud Computing markets
Extensive list of key contacts and targeted accounts
Skilled in developing new accounts and growing existing accounts.
Launching new products into the territory
Opening and developing new territories
Developing partnerships in multi-state territories.
Giving technically oriented demonstrations and presentations.
Ability to leverage strong knowledge of applications to sell at all levels within the target markets
Strong customer focus with the ability to understand positioning and developing business cases/solutions for revenue opportunities
Key contributor in the development of features needed to acquire customers.
