Ebrary Technical Sales Engineers support our sales representatives by providing technical knowledge and demonstrations for clients, potential clients and partners. Ebrary Technical Sales Engineers are recognized as having a deep product understanding and serve as our clients? source of technical product information.
Some of what you?ll be doing:
Superior Sales Guru -Support the sales professionals understand how to characterize technical problems and how our offerings solve those problems, as well as how to differentiate our offerings with the customer.
Technical Top Dog - Serve as the primary functional and technical resource for these services for the sales team; provide technical support where needed with the goal of closing new and renewal business.
Cool Cat Under Pressure - Maintain constant alignment with the Product Managers, Sales Trainers and Marketing.
Demo Master- Conduct technical demonstrations at conferences and tradeshows.
Strategic Thinker - Works closely with the sales organization in defining client solutions and assisting in the development of technical sales strategy.
Proposal King - Develops, presents and responds to proposals for specific client requirements, including the technical content for request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
What you?ll have experience with:
3+ years of Technology Sales, Technical Consultation, or Similar Experience
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Coordinating software trials and managing technical questions
Conducting technical training to support local distributors
Experience writing RFP and RFI
Excellent presentation skills, including standup skills, technical/on-the moment capabilities, and document creation of demonstration slides decks (PowerPoint), scripts, sites and examples for North American Region
Reporting the products? local features needed to Product Management
Proof-reading marketing materials prior to release
Higher Education Market Experience a plus
Ability to attend conferences and international travel desired
